About The Editor

Brian Trappler, M.D., is the director of Outpatient Services at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in Brooklyn, New York, and an associate clinical professor in psychiatry at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. In 1994 he received a grant from the Office of Mental Health to treat the victims of the Brooklyn Bridge shooting, and on September 11, 2001, he worked as a first responder for survivors of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers. Dr. Trappler also has spent most of his career treating Holocaust survivors. His clinical research findings have been published in various refereed journals, including the American Journal of Psychiatry and the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.
